Many people have their first dance decided before they even get engaged. Some people just haven't found the right wording to have that special dance which they will remember for the rest of their lives.
Why is it important to have the perfect first dance song?
It is the songs that lets people know who you are. Many songs have a very strong message in them and those messages reflect what brings you together or keeps you together.
Some songs such as "Already There" by Lonestar or "Far Away" by Nickelback, tell a strong story that might bring great meaning to a spouse who is in the military. Other songs such as "Lost in this Moment" by Big and Rich can really have great meaning for some couples as well.
First dances are important and you should take the time to listen and read the lyrics of songs that you are thinking of to make sure they fit your taste. This is true with any specialty songs such as Father-Daughter and so on. For instance, Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl" is a great songs and brides always consider that as a F-D dance. The version we have is edited towards the end of the song and this is why. The songs mentions "Making love in the green grass." Um probably not a songs you want to dance to with your father.
So again, when finding the right song for you, make sure that it has correct meaning for they types of individuals you are and make sure it is tasteful.
